Thanksgiving weekend

It was a beautiful thanksgiving weekend up in the woods! We went on lots of hikes, visited, played cards, cooked, ate and watched the new Star Trek movie.....yes I even watched it!
Sat we went for a walk on the Bruce trail. Kaitlin and Kortney had fun climbing rocks along the way.

Then next day we drove up to Emmet lake to walk the Halfway Log Dump trail.
Although the day was cooler, the scenery was amazing!

Kids, yes climbing rocks. Thank goodness everyone stayed dry. The water was freezing.
There was so much for the kids to check out along the walk!

Cross Country

Owen, Dawson, William, Travis W, Jason and Cameron

Earlier this month both Dawson and Kaitlin decided to run in the cross country. Five other schools came to Londesboro to compete in their age groups. Dawson was very excited to run and Kaitlin and her friends were convinced by their teacher to run. Here are some pictures from the beautiful day they had to run.
Here comes Dawson!! He placed 5th in the 7/8 year olds!!
Avery Wright, Kaitlin, Avery Whyte, and Holly!
Getting ready to run!
Kaitlin got 13th!
The top 6 runners from the run got to move on to the district run against schools from Huron and Perth. Dawson was very excited he was able to go along with the other Hullett students. At the district the 7 and 8 year olds ran separate. This meant that Dawson was the only boy from Hullett running in this race. He was a little nervous and the cold windy day didn't help either. But over 125 ran the race and he came in 23rd!! It was a great experience for him and it was nice to be able to stay to cheer on the other Hullett kids!
